- During the check you cannot use phone apps, translators or help from a co-driver. It is only you and the officer.
How it works
- The mock officer asks a question out loud.
- You answer out loud, in English. Or type if your phone has no microphone.
- You see what was clear, what was missing, and a better way to say it.
Example from a practice stop
Mock officer: Where are you coming from, and where are you going?
Driver: I am coming from Dallas, Texas, and I am going to Atlanta, Georgia.
Feedback: Clear. You said both places. You can also say when you plan to arrive.

The officer can show you 4 road signs, and you must explain what at least 3 of them mean. Practice the common signs first.

The practice uses English you speak every day on the road: your trip, your load, your hours and your truck. Learn to understand the officer and answer in your own words. Do not memorize answers.
